In 1922, Michael Langenstein and his two sons, George and Richard, started a small corner grocery store in uptown New Orleans. Little did they realize at the time that their establishment, informally known as Langenstein's, would become New Orleans' finest supermarket.
Today Langenstein's offers a complete line of homemade New Orleans Cooked Specialties such as Crawfish Etouffee and Bisque, Seafood Gumbo, Grillades, Red Beans and Rice and countless others. All made from family recipes passed down through four generations. Langenstein's has also built a reputation of stocking Gourmet Items unique to New Orleans, as well as items imported from the world.
